Here are some tips that will help you cite references using Noodle Tools.:
- Log in to http://sccl.org and click on Research for Teens.
- Choose Science and Technology databases.
- Try Science Online for newspaper articles and basic info.
- Try Academic Search Complete for journal articles.
- Utilize keywords and “advanced search” tools (quotation marks, etc.) to help you find articles on your topic.
- Once you find an article, determine the type of resource the article is and create a citation in Noodle Tools.
- Make sure you choose the “Database” tab if you found the article using Science Online or Academic Search Complete, or another database.
- Put in as much information as you can, but definitely fill out the fields that are required (red asterisk) before you submit citation to save it.
